Leap Year Day - 29 February

Leap Year Day is the name of February 29. Leap Day represents how cool the calendar system is!

For women, February 29th can also be a very successful day as once every four years on the 29th February they have the “right” to propose to a man.

The right of every women to propose on 29th February each leap year goes back hundreds of years when the leap year day had no recognition in English law (the day was 'leapt over' and ignored, hence the term 'leap year'). It was decided that the day had no legal status, meaning that a break in tradition on this day was acceptable.

So on this day women can take advantage of this anomaly and propose to the man they wish to marry.

In Scotland, however, to ensure success, they should also wear a red petticoat under their dress - and make sure that it is partly visible to the man when they propose.

For those wishing to take advantage of this ancient tradition, 29th February is your day!

mimos de manos/ saudades restabelecidas/ dias de pai/ gaufres, muitas, em cada esquina/ batatas fritas/ quick/ casa quentinha/ ruas geladas/ compras com a mini-mana/ passeios com o mano-boy a conduzir as princesas/ baixa e grand place, lindas como sempre/ 19 anos do mano/ chocolates, muitos/ nao comemos durum/ metro, tram e andar a pé/ belga queen/ dia dos namorados-pirosos em familia/ ABBA/ conversas de manas/ já nao tenho muito medo do Douro/ hora da partida/ mano volta comigo/ quase encontro romantico no aeroporto/ coração cheio/ ja falta pouco até à Pascoa/ gosto taaaaaaaaaanto de cá vir/ passou a correr/ adeus e beijinhos! eu volto!

os manos!
e pelas fotos, ninguem diria que eu e a mini-mana temos uma-semelhante-aversão-a-estes-dias-pirosos!
fugimos dos casalinhos com cara de coração
olhámos para o telemovel o dia todo
fizémos tostas mistas para o serão, recebemos bombons na forma proibida, fechámo-nos em casa a ver filmes romantico e no outro dia, ainda pequenalmoçámos scones na mesma forma!



balanço: eu acordei com uma mensagem e ao fim do dia um telefonema... será ele?! xiiiiu... eu acho que sim :)
